GameBox National Championship 2008—Mock Tourney
On 19th & 20th January, 2008, Reliance World organised and hosted the GameBox National Championship 2008 national level mock tourneys for single and multiplayer games viz., Age of Mythology, Half-Life 2 - Death Match, NFS Underground, Warcraft III - Frozen Throne and CounterStrike 1.6.
More than 2500 players from across the country participated in the nationwide event that was open to all gamers and teams that were registered for the GameBox National Championship 2008.
It was interesting to watch the players take on challenges just as easily as they slipped into gameplay. All games were fiercely played and winners of the single player games took home a cheque of Rs.1000 each while the clan that won CS 1.6 walked away with Rs. 5000.
